Dr. Truelove was born and raised in Massachusetts and attended high school in New Hampshire. After graduation, she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors in Mathematics. She worked for two years in government contracting outside Washington, DC before attending medical school at Georgetown University. She then completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was awarded a nomination into the American Orthopaedic Association, an honor bestowed on the top one to two residents in each orthopaedic surgery program in the country. As a chief resident, she received the Orthopedic Surgery Resident Research Day Prize based on outstanding research and presentation and then continued her training by specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery through a fellowship at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Truelove is married with a son and a daughter. She is thrilled to be back in a place where she can ski, hike, and spend time with her family in Massachusetts and Blue Hill, ME.  She looks forward to taking care of patients and growing her practice here in Maine.
